Pedalo rentals cost 10 to 20 EUR per hour. The price depends on the boat size. Bring cash for these kiosks.
Public KTEL buses travel between Chania and Rethymno. You must disembark at Georgioupoli. From there, take a short taxi ride or the land train to the lake.

Amazing guide MANOS, sorry. I can’t remember driver or the other French speaking guide who were all lovely . I feel the visit to the lake wasn’t long enough it was only an hour where you got over two hours on chania I would have loved longer at the lake it was soooo nice . All in all amazing price amazing staff . Just wish there was toilet on bus I never checked this before I booked but I would recommend it x
We had an excellent tour! Our guide Katarina was splendid.. patient, knowledgeable & amusing as well. Everything was well paced and not tiring at all. Lake Kournas is beautiful. Thank you for a great experience, would highly recommend.
It’s a lovely relaxing day exploring the little villages. The oil factory was informative but very expensive if you want to buy anything. Finishing off at the lake where you can hire paddle board (for couples) for €10 for 1h. Some nice food places too.
